Many thanks for this. My M1 works perfectly (so far). What I am not sure about is the battery life. True that it's longer than the Intel Mac but it isn't as great as advertised or being raved about. I could go for about 6 hours without a charger and that's all. Perhaps it's because I live in a hot country and that plays a role as the battery gets heated up faster?
