I always want to do this — be alone with my thoughts and no stimuli for a day or more. There’re many of the schools of contemporary ancient (not an oxymoron) wisdom propagating this method. At first, I felt scared to try it out but now it seems to me that there isn’t a lot to lose from doing it. If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, then I can just go back to my life and find another way of controlling the elephant (my mind) rushing to find dopamine.
